The Annual Open Exhibition is held each October at the National Arts Club in New York City. Approximately a quarter of all entries are admitted by the club jurors. A panel of distinguished artists and curators from outside the club constitutes the two Juries of Awards, with three members for the sculpture jury and five for the painting jury. The awards given total over $8,000. |

After an artist has been accepted into three Annual Open Exhibitions within a ten-year period, she is eligible to apply for full membership. Her work is then reviewed by the board of directors for final acceptance. |
|
In addition to the Annual Open Exhibition and the annual Members' Exhibition, the club presents occasional lectures and demonstrations. These, as well as the club's board meetings, particularly its Annual Meeting, are open to full and associate members.
