Artist Peter Garfield's photographs appear to represent actual, full-size
houses flying through the air. Viewed from below, the houses seem to have
been ripped from their foundations.
Garfield uses carefully constructed models to achieve the illusion, and until recently, had never
tried to hide that fact. But without actually trying, his work has fooled
many of his viewers, including reviewers who have written about his work. |
So the artist decided to take the concept one step further, and created an elaborate
false documentation of his "process," including photographs of a fake
construction crew with cranes lifting and dropping the houses. |
