Andy Warhol
Before Andy Warhol became an international Pop Art star, he was actually a successful commercial illustrator.

His stylish shoe ads for I. Miller and drawings for Glamour, Vogue and Harper's Bazaar were playful, cartoon like images combining fashion and art.

Amy Vanderbilt's Complete Book of Etiquette
What most people don't know is that Warhol also contributed original drawings for Amy Vanderbilt's Complete Book of Etiquette, from 1958.

He also contributed to her Complete Cookbook DrawingsEveryday Etiquette.

Campbell's Soup Can
The pop icon wasn't really discovered by the public until he showed his canvas silkscreens in 1962 at the Ferus Gallery in Los Angeles. The featured picture was his now-ubiquitous 32 Campbell's Soup Cans.

Then he was well on his way...
