		It's hard to believe that under one roof last week it was possible to place a bid for diva dishes (Broadway divas like Liza Minelli, Chita Rivera and Nell Carter gracing dinner plates to benefit Broadway Cares), make yourself comfortable in some Joel Urruty studio furniture, and pick up a Monet reproduction for under ten bucks!
		The International ArtExpo blew into New York City last week, making it possible to have the most eclectic shopping spree ever. Tens of thousands visited the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center to look at paintings, sculpture, animation art, prints, posters, collectibles, art glass, pottery, and jewelry. In its 22nd year, it was the largest show ever, featuring over 2400 artists.
		An unusual addition to the show this year was the Internet Pavilion, which showcased a wide spectrum of online businesses, representing all aspects of the art industry. In addition to the Internet Pavilion, other special exhibits include the Functional and Decorative Art Pavilion, the British Pavilion, the Artist's Pavilion and the African-American Pavilion, one of the premiere sources for African-American art in the United States.
		According to the show's director Wendy Jones, "International ArtExpo New York means one stop shopping to gallery owners and publishers from all over the world, with art ranging from high-end original work to quality reproductions" and a wide range of prices as well.	*Tiger Lilies* Sally Friedman
