Recent Additions

Lynne Friedman
Lynne Friedman captures the colors of the seasons in her artwork that often juxtaposes vast expanses of sky with rolling masses of land and mountains below. The artist explores "color relationships and form as well as qualities of light to express inner states of being, memories, associations, and responses to the external visible world." Friedman earned a masters of fine arts from Queens College and has exhibited her work throughout New York State.

Curt Parker
Curt Parker's connection to wildlife continues to make him a favorite amongst animal lovers - he touches the soul with his close ups of polar bears, arctic wolves, zebras tigers and elephants. In his latest body of works, Parker brings these magnificent beasts within reach of his viewers. Parker actively works in concert with zoos and wildlife conservation groups; he has exhibited his work in the state of Missouri.

Christina Rohrer
In the traditions of Georges Seurat and Josef Albers, Christina Roche's work focuses on the optical qualities of color - the human eye's response to interactions of disparate color marks in oscillating patterns. "Distance and movement not only create color shifts within these works, but changes in perception as well. From a distance the individual colors lose their identity; hues are seen in the mid-range and these, then coalesce to form the geometric imagery". Rohrer earned a PhD from Harvard University and has exhibited her work in New York and Connecticut.

Raymond Sammak
The artwork of Raymond Sammak recalls the nostalgia of past in his realist landscape and portrait paintings. In his abstract works, Sammak explores universal themes that leave room for the viewer to interpret. The artist studied at Merrimack College and has exhibited his work in New Jersey.

  Joan Winter
Through her artwork Joan Winter explores a range of subjects, from portraits and still lifes to abstract and floral bouquets. In her series on women, including her women portraits, Winter addresses the challenges faced by women in society ranging from the perception of beauty, to the many demands women face in multiple roles as workers, mothers and wives. Winters studied at New York University and has exhibited her work in New York and New Jersey.

  Barbara Zietchick
Barbara Zietchick works in an expressionistic style, using bright colors and interrelated shapes to depict memories and impressions of her travels around the world. Her monotypes often depict fantasy animals in imaginative, fanciful poses. She creates flowers, which are colorful and subtle, celebrating their own beauty and individuality. For Barbara, the rich use of color and mood-evoking color relationships are the language of her art. Zietchick received her B.A. degree from Hunter College, and graduate degrees from Wagner College and Richmond College, Staten Island, New York and has exhibited her work in New York and New Jersey.
