  Ilya Lerner
Ilya Lerner's impressionistic landscapes depict scenes of his familiar environment in Boston, MA. He uses an exaggerated palette that reveals his adoration of the lush foliage of this New England city. Ilya Lerner was born in Russia and studied at the Perovo Art School and Fedor Voloshko Drawing School in Moscow. He has exhibited his work throughout Massachusetts, including the Fuller Museum of Art in Brockton.

  Martine Mikaelian :
Martine Mikaelian's expressionistic paintings on paper question the social significance of form. Her solitary shapes and strong lines are symbolic and ambiguous, leaving the viewer to draw personal conclusions. "Painting channels all my imagination and imagery and integrates them into the social communication routes of art." Martine was born in and presently lives in Lyon, France. She studied at the Arts Platiques in Paris and has shown her work all over Europe.

  Tina Rohrer
The viewer is an integral part of Tina Rohrer's geometric still-life paintings. Her works are comprised of small patches of color that fuse together as the viewer looks on from a distance. She describes the works as a 'visual experience' that occurs within the eye rather than on the canvas itself. Tina Rohrer studied at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland and has a Ph.D. from Harvard University.

  Karen Nangle
The 'mirages' and metamorphosis of nature inspire Karen Nangle's pastel landscapes. Clusters of trees, fields of flowers, and rolling hillsides are flattened into bold patches of greens, blues, and pinks. They are impressions of her acute observation of color and form. Karen Nangle studied at the Parsons School of Design and the Art Students League. She lives and exhibits her work in Savannah, Georgia.

  Manuel Ngombo
Manuel Ngombo is an African artist who brings his expressive portraits of African society to PaintingsDirect.com. His goal is to "eliminate sadness and create hope" with his art. He has exhibited his work all over the world, from Italy to Brazil. He was born in Damba, Angola and currently lives in Kinshasa in the Republic of Congo.
