PaintingsDIRECT is pleased to offer these four exclusive limited edition prints by one of our most popular artists, Gladys Barbot Desmangles.

Introducing this week's PaintingsDIRECT.com artists.
  Andree Hugret
French artist Andree Hugret has added a new body of floral works to her portfolio of blue, abstract paintings on PaintingsDIRECT, which feature her predeliction for elegant, simple forms, and bright rich color. "When I began to paint, I used bright colors as my sources of light and warmth. These patches of color become forms; movements that can sometimes take on a life of their own!" Hugret has been exhibiting her work in France since 1996, and has received several awards for her achievements in painting.

  Fay Sciarra
Fay Sciarra's new paintings of intimate interiors are symbolic and narrative, telling the story of the artists daily life. Following in the direction of renown Latin-American painter Frida Kahlo, Sciarra's style is naïve in its rendering and full of surrealist scale changes and fantastic scenarios. Sciarra studied at the University of Michigan, and was prominently featured on NBC's Today Show this past Sunday.

  Karl Soderlund
Karl Soderlund new paintings of interiors and architectural studies once again show off his talent as a realist painter. The intricate rendering and dramatic lighting of a French bar, an old tavern and a country parlor testify to his eye for detail. Soderlund studied at the Art Student's League and the Silvermine School of Art, and has exhibited throughout New York and Connecticut.

  Martha Holden
Martha Holden combines a variety of printmaking techniques to arrive at rich graphic images of French iron gates, the urban landscape and architectural details (hold). The artist collages images of architectural elements to create meaning through their physical association. "I look for the harmony and rhythm in the different shapes." Holden received her MFA at the Cranbrook Academy of Art, and her work belongs to several corporate collections including Columbia Pictures, Pepsi Cola, Forbes Corporation and IBM.
