Paintings of the amusement park Rye Playland, scenes from upstate New York, and serene seaside vistas reflect and recall a lifetime of summers. "For me, painting is mainly an intuitive process. The play of light, the atmosphere, and the way light hits the land and its structures triggers a sensation in me that I want to record." Meeker Rom received her MFA from American University, and her work belongs to several corporate collections including NYU Medical Center, IBM and Time Warner. |

Vera Havlik Vera Havlik's oil paintings range from still-lifes to Jamaican beach scenes. All of her works are created on location at her second home in Jamaica, where she spends each winter. The artist's garden often provides inspiration for her floral studies. Havlik studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague and at the Ukraine School of Ceramics, and her work belongs to several public collections such as H.M.T. Technology and the Jamaican Consulate.

Min Myar Min Myar's newest watercolors focus on botanical subjects near the artist's Long Island home. Light compositions of summer vines and perennials float against ethereal backgrounds of translucent blues and whites. "My favorite way to paint is on location. There, I am inspired by the beautiful subjects I see." Myar studied at the Art Students League and has won numerous awards for her achievements in watercolor.
