"Constantly giving my viewers a thought provoking visual with my abstract figural work is foremost my mission statement. Created here are strong energetic images to accept as style, creativity and a sense of escape for the artist & viewers. Forms and details are muted or exaggerated to add to my gesturalism or "Action Painting". All work is done in this spontaneous form using fauvist colors & heavy strokes. The work develops the figure into imagery or a design element sometimes showing expression, emotion or a strong sense of creative composition, sometimes leaving concepts to the audience's imagination. At second glance, my compositions allow one to recognize everyday human natures, stylized into images evoking almost a fantasy type of look that gives the layout a surrealistic environment as if telling interesting stories... again, thought provoking.

I concentrate on oil & enamel or acrylic painting on canvas, wood panels or sometimes works on paper. My sizes range from 20" x16" to 4' x 4' depending on composition. The human figure in itself is art. My depictions bring out the volumes & powerful contours that relate the body to the contemporary where I see no end in sight. I'm an artist believing in the fact that it hasn't all been done. There is a clear transition to my work that grows as I do, always taking my figurals into another level. One cannot view my art & consider it "Just another nude". There is a depth.

Influences include such artists as George McNeil, Willem DeKooning, Don Van Vliet, Mario Dalpra & Marino Marini to name a few. My studies in the figure brought me to giving live model Creative Figure Drawing & Painting Workshops to local art organizations. In these courses I teach artists to think beyond conformity & experiment to express oneself as I do. I also give Art Marketing Seminars in local galleries & spaces to amateur and emerging artists to help them develop promotional skills as I've learned through numerous New York City consultants."
