Born in 1964 in New York, NY, United States

1986, B.F.A., School of Visual Arts

"I approach paintings with open possibilities; each stroke creates new directions and questions. After working for a time, there are moments when consciously I lose track of what I am doing. Compositions arrive and form on their own. The physical act of paintings, the urban landscape and the history of painting compels me to search for a language of my own. I continue to create art without reservations about making changes, destroying and starting over. The paintings seem to have a life of their own, and I try to let them filter through me."
