" Françoise Carrier's paintings reflect images of the Vaucluse and the Drôme in Provence: the jumble of pink rooftops, the vivid blues of lavender fields, the brillant clear skies, are all characteristics of the region. Her painting are full of freshness, colour and the athmosphere of long hot summer days. Françoise Carrier knows in particular how to evoke the special qualities of Provençal light, the luminosity of the colours is striking."
