Born in St. Marc, Haiti

Semester at Ecole des Beaux Arts of Montreal

"I started drawing with my father at a very early age and painting when I was around eleven. Soon, these activities became not only a game but pure necessity like the one we have to breathe. On and off I went on painting for my own joy and contentment. A few years ago, however, a friend of mine urged me to finally show some of my paintings and I started to take painting seriously then. I have since attended several classes and prestigious seminars and academies such as the Ecole des Beaux Arts de Montreal and North Light Art School among others. I have been extremely blessed to receive such an enthusiastic response from collectors in many countries and delighted also by the recognition I have received since then.

I have chosen to represent people in my paintings with a minimum detail, not painting for instances faces which in my opinion are not the only means for an artist to convey expressiveness and feelings.

My palette uses essentially great amounts of warm colors, ochres and subdued tones with very little contrast. I want the whole atmosphere of work to be cool, relaxing, warm and subtly cheerful"
