"As a painter of the urban landscape, I pay special attention to the elaborate details and architectural oddities on the facades of the older buildings in particular. The play of light and shadow as well as the myriad variety of textures remains a constant challenge that I try to meet, working with oils on canvas.

My paintings capture the buildings and sites at a time when so many changes are taking place in the urban landscape, and I describe my work as a statement on the 'familiar' of today that might not be here tomorrow.

I continue to create paintings in oil, as I have for the past 20 odd years or so, depicting the urban landscape and paying special attention to the sites that are disappearing. By doing so, a visual record will remain to remind us of what has been and is no longer. These buildings and places, be they bright and sparkling or faded and covered with peeling paint, are wonderful to look at. As cities are constantly changing, there will always be subjects to paint. By having the opportunity to exhibit my work, I hope to bring to the viewer's attention, aspects of their environment that they might not be aware of, and hopefully foster an appreciation for what a wonderful wealth of architecture and history remains all around them.

Publicly, my work has been shown since 1980, and I was a member of an artist's co-op gallery for 10 years. I continue to exhibit in various group and juried shows around the country and do commissioned work.

I have been awarded painting awards from the National Association of Women Artists, the Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club, the Butler Institute of American Art, and the Braithwaite Fine Arts Gallery. My paintings have also been reproduced as a holiday card for the organization SHARE in New York City and for a calendar produced by Norvartis Pharmaceutical Company."
