"From Grand Army Plaza to the Gowanus Canal, Gregory Frux's urban landscapes capture the Brooklyn scene. Artworks depict landmark churches, cast iron ballistres, the classic brownstone stoops, Halloween trick-or-treaters, the emerald canal waters, and night scenes including the Brooklyn Bridge.

Fully half of the artist's work happens on the street. He can often be seen in the neighborhood working at his French easel, oblivious to passersby. Greg Frux is attracted to areas that reveal layers of history. This artist is as apt to paint a run down old bar as to paint a refined row house. He is currently working on projects in the industrial district near Gowanus Canal and along the tree-lined historic district along Sixth Avenue."
