Returning to Japan in 1969, Fujita founded his own graphic art company, Ateliersia, doing graphic artwork for commercial clients. The company quickly became very successful and in 1971, Fujita opened another office in Vancouver looking to expand internationally. His years in Vancouver influenced his artistic style and many of the colors prominent in his paintings are a reflection of the somber, calming tones often found in nature.

After six successful years working and painting in Vancouver, Fujita sold his office and returned to Japan to continue working in the graphic arts industry. He also began holding private shows for his paintings, thus allowing him to expand his body of work and his reputation as an artist. His business has continued to grow and now include multinational companies such as Canon, Panasonic and Canadian Airways. Never one to rest, Fujita complimented his list of accolades to include service as a television art reporter for a Japanese television network.
