"Modern man has, as has his predecessors throughout history, a need to fancifully manipulate Nature in order to create a more tolerable niche for himself in an otherwise forbidding and impersonal environment. Never has the need been more urgent than in our science invaded time; for the irony is that by knowing more, man has exacerbated his sense of chilling loneliness.

As an artist, I create paintings arising out of my personal need to confront this dilemma. My illusions are succinct and penetratingly witty. My manipulations extend from the cosmic to the temporal. My art succeeds because of my extraordinary proficiency. My fantasies have the power of achieved talent.
