"I paint interiors because to me they represent the unconscious mind. The open doorways and closed doorways lead your mind to secrets of the past that you want to uncover. Some paintings are simple, some more complex. A chair is in the painting so you can rest during your travels through your mind, or you can collect your thoughts seated in a more complex room on a sofa. Some of my paintings are travels down memory lane."
