"In my painting I wish to continue my ongoing exploration of pure colors on a paint surface as a personal mode of interfacing with my own life force and my unspoken words, moods, feelings, and longings. Art making as an affirmation of life is for me an existential affirmation of JOY...coupled with my own will to share with as many people as I can.

In my work, I often start with a representational image, which I then improvise upon, in a manner that frees me to find my own voice. It's a view of Art based on the Surrealist -Expressionist traditions, with its roots in the compositional integrity of the masters.
