"As I was raised in Pakistan, Iran, England, and then in the southern, eastern, and western U.S., my life's experiences have been, to say the least, varied. On a visual level, these experiences have afforded me a rich panoply of color, land and cityscapes, ideal fodder for my passion to depict, through painting, the natural and manmade environment we inhabit.
I am a color devotee, always veering toward the rendition of subjects in the strongest and deepest color I can perceive. Doing that, I find, makes my somewhat abstract painting honest and faithful.
I draw and paint in pencil, charcoal, pastels, oil pastels, or some combination of those, and on a variety of surfaces from canvas to masonite board to plexiglass to aluminum."
