“Local Printmaker Presents New Show”

"Flo Kemp--local printmaker extraordinaire…creates landscapes of much beauty. Their misty hills and shining waters beckon."

-Bridson, The Village Herald

"Kemp’s prints are quite lovely. In subject they recall the majestic vistas of the 19th-Century Hudson River School artists, although they are smaller in scale. Softly toned mountains recede into deep space. Flat, mirror-like lakes reflect the light of the sky and dark, sharply etched trees give definition to the foreground space. The soft-ground technique adds an ethereal, hazy atmosphere to what are already romantic themes."

"The hills of northern New Jersey and the dunes and salt marshes of Long Island are the stuff of Kemp’s artistic dreams."

-Eileen Swift, Newsday
