"My work is about story telling and hope. In other words, my work is about positivity. Everywhere you look today, the messages are negative. The newspapers, television news, television shows, and most movies. Television commercials are usually positive, but the message is ‘buy,’ which you can, but it’s not a very life-affirming kind of positivity. Some art is positive, but not nearly enough, so I lend my small voice to the other small voices in the hope that we will be heard through all the noise. I say what I live by, YOU CAN, YES, YOU CAN! Is it any wonder so many suffer, so many are in pain, when we are taught only to see the negative? I believe every moment, every event, no matter how painful or terrible is a gift, a perfect moment, an opportunity to learn and to grow. If we learn, we grow and move on, and if we don’t, life keeps trying to teach us, presenting us with stronger lessons to get out attention so we might learn and move on. Every moment is positive, an opportunity for growth, towards perfection and towards happiness. I hope my work will help others to see how lucky we all are to have the opportunity just to get out of bed each morning. The Bible says, ‘Who is happy? He who is happy with what he has.’ I hope my work can help others to be a little happier with what they have. Because the truth is, we are all special, and we all have so much to give."
