"I paint because I love to. For me it is my drug of relaxation and release from everyday pressures. I also enjoy the sense that what I create can only be done by me - a one of a kind!

The mediums I primarily work with are gouache, watercolor, colored pencils and oils. I do commissions of various subject matter in various mediums and also produce newsletters on my computer for two of the organizations that I am affiliated with. My work is realistic with each medium portraying a slightly different style of execution. I see my strength in my gouache paintings, depicting objects that are not always thought of as flattering but having an inner beauty. I consider myself to be self taught, developing my own styles for rendering with the mediums I use; although most of the basics I learned from public school and SUNY, Farmingdale. The majority of my subject matter comes from my travels in the USA and abroad, using my photos as a reference or, if time permits, on location. I continue to learn by observing and listening to all that is around me."
