"The source of my work is the observed world. A variety of pictorial possibilities interest me-natural and architectural forms, the myriad affects of light, and how we experience space and time. The final resolutions of these perceptual and conceptual considerations are abstracted reflections of space and structure.

The juxtaposition of photos, acrylic paint, oil pastel, Caran D'Ache crayon, pencil, ink, papers and other materials yields unexpected and surprising solutions. My photos function both as abstract form and as a fragment of reality, thus providing a way to explore the area between abstraction and realism.

The contradictions and connections resulting from disparate components coming together to form new relationships are the basis for my ongoing dialogue with the interactions between order and chaos. "
