"When I think of my work, I think of color. Like drawing, composition, and most importantly, concept, color is a very important aspect of the visual arts.

People are a fundamental part of my work, but in recent years, I have started including other subjects such as animals, sunsets, palm trees, and tropical atmospheres, which play an important role as well.

The mediums I use are oil on canvas, pastel on paper, and India ink on paper. Each technique has its own characteristics.

I have always been a figurative artist. Although I admire abstract art, I have never done a painting or drawing without a representational theme. For me the figure is very important: the face, the movement of the bodies, the expression, the patterns in the outfits, etc. My work is like a big theater set."
