"After living and working in New York City for eight years, I just bought a house in Cragsmoor, New York and I am looking forward to the new influences on my art. I enjoy painting objects and scenes that I see every day. As a painter, I enjoy working with simple subject matter and transforming it into something with an abstract element to it. I strive to use the natural white of the canvas as a light source in all of my work, even my oil paintings. I enjoy organic, flowing backgrounds that are inspired by patterns that occur in nature."
