"Although painting and drawing are my life, my main passion lies in drawing. Contrary to many opinions, I feel my drawings can be considered finished pieces of art and not only the preliminary stages of something further. Drawing, especially pastel, coheres such that I can touch and feel the surface with my hands as I do with my eyes upon the subject, enabling me to depict sensations more clearly and sensitively than with any other medium. For me, there is no other artistic union as complete as the eye, heart, and fingertips communicating on paper.

I am a New Yorker, but have lived in Santiago, Chile for thirty-five years. While there, I worked and exhibited in galleries and cultural centers while continuing to do so in New York. I also gave art instruction in my painting studio for many years.

I have now returned to New York City, where I plan to reside indefinitely."
