"Water color has become my major expression. I developed my own technique early when allergies prevented me from using oils when pregnant (I had four children within six years). The materials were light and easy to transport so I travelled and searched for the most interesting subjects in my stark West Texas enviroment. I won awards very early for imaginative abstractions of dramatic dust storms and night scenes in the oilfields as well as still-life subjects of bones, cactus, and rocks prevalent in my enviroment."
