" I paint because I search, now and probably forever!"
Roger-Bernard, November 1997
" I cannot really praise my own painting, nor can I disparage it either. It can be said
that the techniques artists use -- organization of structures, lines, forms, lights and colors
-- are supposed to convey their personal feelings about their environment. And in writing about
the paintings, there is a fear that the pictural expression will be changed. I understand though,
that a quotation about my work may help a viewer feel my painting."
Roger-Bernard, March 2000
