Born in 1929 in St. Louis, MO, United States

1950-53, Southeast Missouri State College

1947-50, Harris-Stowe State College

"My work is an effort to share with others the things that I see combined with the way I feel about the subject. Nature is used as a springboard to a personal response to what I observe. Subject matter is a point of departure rather than a destination. New insights often emerge as I try to allow the artwork to speak to me and find its own direction. I try to reach inside instead of outside for inspiration and response."
