"I am an attorney specializing in intellectual property law- trademarks, patents, copyrights: the property which is created from one's art, heart, science and business. To also be an artist means negotiating two different worlds- a marriage of commerce and the creative spirit- the hard fast cerebalism of the law and the naked emotional domain of the psyche- where the ID frequently reigns supreme. they don't always mix well.

And yet, the two spheres have become symbiotic and synergistic. I see better as an artist because of the law, and I am a more focused attorney because of my art.

The paintings start from color and feeling. However it is only when they are done and time has passed can I see them for what they are and where I was. Time/distance/space bestows meaning."
