"My landscape paintings incorporate natural elements with such stylistic influences as 19th century Romanticism, oriental miniatures, and botanical illustration to evoke a contemplative, otherworldly feeling. I draw inspiration from imagination and memory of place more than from nature itself. My work has been exhibited in galleries in New York, Washington D.C., and Dallas, as well as at such museums as the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, the Aldrich Museum of Contemporary Art, and the Butler institute of American Art."
