"Painting is a vital necessity; for sure this is one thing that keeps us alive and connects us with the invisible strengths that rule this universe. I paint because I feel this is my position in this world.

I use an extensive palette of colors - usually plain colors - while I am always looking for contrasts that imply a spiritual revelation, a source of vitality and illumination. I paint in a traditional way: brush, canvas, easel, and workshop… Right now I leave experiments to others. Why should a spontaneous physical gesture like throwing paint at a canvas be more expressive than the subtle strokes of the brush in my hand?

The inspiration definitely exits and the one who says the opposite is wrong… I can only paint if I am in a state of ecstasy. If I am lucky enough, this state can accompany me everyday! Although, I recognize that if it's not a good day to paint, the best thing for me to do is to leave the brushes in their boxes."
