Born in 1949 in Leningrad, Russia

Muhina College of Art, Russia

After graduating from college, Yuriy Danich studied painting techniques of the Old Masters and copied paintings of the Italian Renaissance in the Hermitage. He specialized in the field of mural painting in the style of the Italian Old Masters. He worked as a mural painting restorer in a branch of the Hermitage Pavlovsk Palace.

From 1976 to 1992, Danich participated in many exhibitions in St. Petersburg, Moscow, and Tallinn. He was invited to display his works in Stockholm and Berlin. Having outgrown all forms of modern art in his early student years, by 1980 he was already showing an aspiration to follow in the traditions of the realists.

In 1992, Danich immigrated to the United States. In 1993, he passed the examination and became a member of the United Scenic Artists. He works at CBS as a scenic artist.

"The afterlife is no less beautiful than the first. Time brings harmony to different subjects and materials. Nothing in the world disappears, but continues its existence by constantly changing for the better. Still life is exactly what it is meant to be--small fragments of life, frozen in eternity. Like every life, it is framed by a beginning and end."
